GENETIC PREDISPOSITION: an increased likelihood of developing a particular disease/trait based on a person's genetic makeup.
Genetics alone do not affect behaviour but can be a building block. Behaviour is bi-directional, meaning cognition can affect biology and biology can affect cognition.

Twin studies - used to study correlation between genetic inheritance and behaviour due to common genetics in twins.
Adoption studies - used to compare genetic and environmental influence on behaviour
Family studies - used to study behaviour and inheritance
