Training the interviewer e.g. avoiding interviewer effects. The interviewer must be trained to avoid using non-verbal signals as it may embarrass or upset the participant.
Choice of interviewer. For example, considering the interviewer's race when discussing racism and considering looks when discussing insecurities. This consideration can help the participant to feel more relaxed, giving more truthful answers.
Preparing questions - find certain themes that wish to be discussed
Recording of the data. Will it be recorded with only audio or video as well to study body language? How would a video camera make the participant feel?
Data transcription. Will it be transcribed word for word or through modern techniques?
Considerations during:
Builiding a rapport in order to make participant feel safe and to know that they can trust the researcher.
Using active listening techniques such as maintaining eye contact.
Ensure that the recording device is working.
Avoid non-verbal expressions.
Making sure to never insult the participant's opinions.

Aim to analyse research without bias. Take into consideration researcher's own views and beliefs to reduce bias.
